Nebraska state legislator says expansion of Clean Water Act would kill the Cornhusker economy
December 21, 2007
Nebraska State Senator
Vickie McDonald appeared before a
press conference earlier this month to argue that the
Clean Water Restoration Act of 2007 would effectively kill the state's economy by severely limiting its ability to use irrigation water, particularly hurting the state's
ethanol and
farming sectors. The bill would essentially subject all rivers and streams to Federal pollution regulations.
