Geologic sequestration of carbon dioxide - or, in other words,
pumping carbon dioxide underground - is emerging as a possible method of containing greenhouse gas emissions. But the EPA
hasn't yet evaluated whether that puts groundwater at risk. They might need to hurry, since the Department of Energy is
rather gung-ho about using sequestration techniques.
