Iowa bill would apply new fees to groundwater use

Iowa House Study Bill 85 would impose new annual fees for groundwater permits that would be used to monitor the groundwater quality and quantity in the area. If approved as law, this proposal would certainly have important implications for ethanol and biodiesel plants, as well as municipal and rural water users.
