Nebraska to Monitor and Report on Algae
May 8, 2006

Certain toxic algae have been blooming in some of Nebraska's state recreational lakes, making them hazardous for people to use. Algae also cause problems in wastewater lagoons, though control methods are available and include lagoon covers (to prevent light from reaching the algae), aeration (to provide mixing and reduce the availability of carbon dioxide), and chlorination (which kills the algae directly).

Related products: lagoon liners, fine-bubble aeration, chlorination
