The innovative Krofta sand filter design combines flocculation, flotation, and filtration in one piece of equipment. The Krofta Sandfloat sand filter is a great choice for potable water clarification, raw process water clarification, tertiary clarification, and reverse osmosis/membrane protection.

Air bubbles are just 30-70 microns in size remove flocculated solids by floating them to the surface, where they are removed from the water. The water is then filtered through any of a variety of media (sand, anthracite, greensand, or combinations thereof). Individual segments can be isolated for backwashing without stopping the filtration process, and an optional turbidity monitor is available to monitor the system at all times.
