The D-090 is designed with a D-040 combination air valve at its heart, giving you all of the advantages of the D-040. By adding a one-way check valve to the discharge, the D-040 combination air valve can be made to ensure that stormwater cannot contaminate the finished water being pumped in the main.

Using ARI's innovative check-valve system to isolate the valve for service, the D-090 can be maintained with almost no effort. The entire working portion of the valve can be easily pulled out of the buried tube using the lifting rod and replaced when the maintenance is complete. In the meantime, the valve is safely and automatically taken out of service by the check valve while the system remains under operation.
