Oil and water: Just rising at different rates

While most current popular anxiety is being devoted to the rising cost of petroleum, the costly liquid of the future could be water. As another two billion people are expected to take their place on the planet in the next 20 years, the world's water supplies are likely to come under increasing stress. Issues like water re-use are certain to come into greater prominence as global demand increases.
