Iowa communities want unfunded mandates to end
May 15, 2008
A group of local government officials from Iowa has gone to Washington to express their frustration with
environmental mandates from Federal authorities at the EPA which they say amount to unfunded mandates. Those projects appear to have environmental and health benefits, but they also require large capital expenditures on new
stormwater infrastructure.
