2.7 million gallons of sewage dumped into waters near San Francisco
February 5, 2008

pump failure at a wastewater plant on the north shore of San Francisco caused a big sewage spill -- estimated at
2.7 million gallons. That huge volume of wastewater was enough to cause some serious concerns about the
safety of surrounding public waters.
