Southeastern drought expected to continue throughout winter
December 30, 2007
NOAA's
Climate Prediction Center has issued its
three-month outlook for precipitation, and though the Iowa-Nebraska region looks like it'll see normal levels of precipitation, the
drought in the Southeast is expected to worsen. That's a very serious emergency for people living in places like Atlanta.
Municipal water supplies are in danger, forcing many people to
retrofit their plumbing fixtures just to help reduce water consumption.
