Iowa DNR thinks half the cities in the state will be affected by wastewater revisions
December 28, 2007
The Iowa DNR invited
424 cities (or about half of the number in the state) to participate in meetings about the pending revisions to the state's designations for streams and rivers. Many of the state's waterways are being redesignated and those changes will
probably require treatment upgrades for many or most of those cities. The whole process is intended to
bring Iowa into compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act. We are looking forward to helping many communities with the required upgrades to their
pumping and
process treatment requirements, based on our three decades of work in the
wastewater industry.
