Winter weather creates good reasons for engine backups
November 24, 2007
Winter blizzards and ice storms create some of the conditions in which
power outages are most likely throughout the year. In order to keep essential municipal services (like
wastewater pumping stations) in operation even when the power goes out, many communities are finding
engine-backup lift stations to be a valuable component of their municipal infrastructure, especially when those backup stations are designed as auto-starting stations for continuous unattended operation.
