Water plant explosion releases chlorine gas cloud in Colorado

An explosion at a Colorado water treatment plant
sent two people to the hospital this morning and released a cloud of chlorine gas into the surrounding area. This incident is an example of why
solid chlorine tablets and
ultraviolet disinfection are increasingly preferred over gas-injection chlorination.
