Collecting rainwater can spare both water and wastewater treatment

The use of rainwater collection can be a double benefit to municipal environmental systems, saving water treatment plants from having to treat and pump water used to raise plants, and saving municipal wastewater treatment plants and stormwater utilities from having to treat excess runoff.
