What happens if the EPA increases ethanol blends?

Right now, a lot of the ethanol being used is a 10% blend in regular gasoline, but
some legislators are talking about
increasing EPA mandates for those blends, to use more biofuel per gallon of gas. That would have a major impact on water supplies throughout the Corn Belt.
