Problems with storm drainage cause mud buildup in Valley Junction

The oldest portion of West Des Moines, the Valley Junction district, is having big problems with stormwater drainage in part due to the saturated soil. Valley Junction was the only part of the city to experience major flooding damage in the events of 1993.
