Winter storm shows why backup power for pump stations is critical

The blizzard that crippled Denver last week also managed to knock out power in parts of western Nebraska. Since most water-pressure booster stations and wastewater lift stations run on electric power, it's critical that these pump stations have available backup power supplies.
