Winter storm shows why backup power for pump stations is critical
December 26, 2006
The blizzard that crippled Denver last week also managed to
knock out power in parts of western Nebraska. Since most
water-pressure booster stations and
wastewater lift stations run on electric power, it's critical that these pump stations have available backup power supplies. One of the best solutions in wastewater is the
Gorman-Rupp Silent Pump portable lift station, which is mounted on a trailer and can be hauled anywhere and set for continuous unattended engine-driven service. Gorman-Rupp also builds Auto-Start lift stations with a complete engine backup integrated with the full system.
