Inadequate clean water is the #2 killer of children

Water quality is a forgotten subject in the United States, where access to clean water is nearly universal and our main concerns tend to be the effects of water pollution on natural ecosystems. But in much of the rest of the world, clean water supplies are far from common. Almost 2 million children die every year because they don't have access to safe fresh water.
