Iowa Legislature OK's Wastewater Aid Program

Iowa communities are going to need a lot of money to upgrade their wastewater treatment plants to bring them into compliance with rules approved by the DNR just a few weeks ago. The Iowa House has approved an aid program to help the communities deal with the cost of compliance. Many plants will need to add clarifiers, aeration, and disinfection to their systems.
