Ethanol Uses 14% of US Corn Crop

USDA Secretary Mike Johanns says 2005
ethanol production was 4 billion gallons, consuming 4% of the nation's corn crop. Biodiesel production, largely from soybeans, is also rising quickly. Ethanol production uses about
three gallons of water for every gallon of ethanol produced.
