February Especially Dry in Iowa
February 27, 2006
According to the
National Weather Service, as of today, Des Moines has gotten only 0.22" of precipitation all month, and just 0.97" all year. That's well below the normal
February average of 1.19", or the usual year-to-date average of more than 2". If we're short on precipitation, we could find ourselves running low on fresh water by the summertime.
