Nebraska Legislature Kills Bill Proposing Huge Lake Study

The bill called for a $3 million study into creating the largest lake on I-80 between Michigan and Utah. But it would also have killed the wellfields for both Omaha and Lincoln. The Appropriations Committee nixed the study, so the proposal to create Nebraska's biggest lake is history.
