Louisiana City Faces Two Weeks With Broken Sewers

A sewer main failure in Bossier City, home of Barksdale AFB, is going to take more than a week to repair -- even with the city using emergency guidelines to speed up the process. Sewer main failures can happen anywhere, but cities often don't think about having a backup plan in place ahead of time. The best way to prepare is to have both portable trash pumps and portable lift stations on hand and ready for immediate deployment.
