FEMA warned Cedar Rapids to upgrade flood protections last September

The city of Cedar Rapids was told last year to raise its levees by two feet to help prevent flooding. With the catastrophic flooding now underway in parts of Iowa, consider it likely that stormwater and flood protection issues will draw a lot of attention all over Iowa in the coming weeks and months.
